I am blessed to live in the best Southern California beach town-Carpinteria with my fisherman-husband- "The Don". We love ocean fishing- (thats how we met.-and thats another story) and wine-tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Barbara County's premier wine region, and also inspiration for some of my landscapes. Don is my rock and shares a passion for my art, so I am able to "live the artist life" full time.
As a child I was somewhat deaf, so I retreated into my own little world where I would draw and dream of becoming a portrait artist. I have always had "the Arts" in my life- workshops, private lessons, museums and galleries. I am primarily an oil painter, and my subjects are diverse. I also do Silver-smith and jewelry-design and fabrication. I've previously enjoyed ceramics and porcelain, fiber arts, and more.
I have been a member of the California Art Club, Portrait Painters of America, SCAPE (Southern California Artists painting for the Environment) and participate in many jurried shows, studio tours, Art Walks and national competitions. I am currently not committed to a gallery and am open to inquiries.
My work is in collections locally- California, Alaska, Hawaii, the East Coast, Europe and Asia.
